We Transform Culture by facilitating…

PITSTOP DEFINED

In motorsports, a pit stop is when a racing vehicle stops during a race for refuelling, new tyres, repairs, mechanical adjustments, a driver change, as a penalty, or any combination of the above.

The PIT is operated by a high trust and therefore high performance team, whose objective is to ensure the driver, the car and ultimately, the team wins.

Our approach

Our approach is informed by lessons garnered from over 19 years of building high performing and engaged teams, across organisations in various sectors. The foundation of the PITSTOP experience is trust, as defined by the Lencioni Pyramid model for team effectiveness. We deploy activities that are geared to explore trust builders and detractors.
Once that foundation is laid, we engage teams in interactive and reflective explorations around Communication, Collaboration, Problem Solving, Empathy, Psychological Safety, Culture, Conflict Resolution, Strategy and Diversity & Inclusion.
For every activity we employ a 3-step process, briefing the activity, experiential learning and debriefing lessons.

The result is an experience that leaves teams energised and inspired to work individually and collectively to build high performing and functional teams

Trust - Lencioni Pyramid

We use the Lencioni Pyramid as a framework for team effectiveness as proposed by Patrick Lencioni in his book “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team”. The pyramid consists of five levels, each representing a layer of team development, and each building upon the previous

  1. Trust: Team members must trust each other to be vulnerable and transparent.
  2. Conflict: Teams must engage in productive conflict to arrive at the best decisions.
  3. Commitment: Teams must commit to decisions and plans of
  4. Accountability: Teams must hold each other accountable for following through on commitments.
  5. Results: The ultimate goal of a high-performing team is to deliver results.

The foundation of the pyramid is trust, and it is only when trust is established that a team can effectively address the other dysfunctions and reach its full potential” – Lencioni

Innovation- Design Thinking
It has been said “Innovate or die!
We strongly believe that organizations that encourage an innovation culture not only thrive in these uncertain and volatile times, but also report high engagement with their teams and great job satisfaction!
Performance- 4DX

Performance is about discipline. In an environment of Trust and Innovation, we believe that performance is a natural result when you add discipline and incentive.

Our approach using the 4DX model allows your team to focus on what’s key, measure from the front and have great accountability (a pillar on the Lencioni Pyramid) while applying the “law of marginal gains”.

OUR PROCESSES

Kick off

The objectives of this phase will be to kick off the project by confirming project objectives, scope, expectations and deliverables. We will also define and agree detailed guidelines for project execution.

Training Experience Execution

We will design the bespoke training experience guided by the agreed scope. Typically the training experiences are a mix of plenary, workshop and experiential learning, adapting to the needs we encounter while training.

Reporting & Coaching

Throughout the process, we will make observations relevant to the growth of your team. We will compile these observations into a report highlighting the outcome of the exercise and proposed follow up mix.
